Santa Cruz Launches 64-Business Christmas Window Route
Sixty-four Santa Cruz businesses are participating in a Christmas Window Display Route until December 24, an initiative aimed at boosting local commerce and community engagement in the Rambla and Salamanca shopping areas.
Sixty-four businesses in Santa Cruz are taking part in a special Christmas Window Display Route. This initiative, organized by the Development Society, is part of a larger plan to improve the Rambla and Salamanca shopping areas.
Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez announced the route, which runs until December 24. You can find all the details, including a map of participating shops and a way to vote for your favorite displays, on the website: www.santacruzescomercio.com/ruta-de-escaparates.
Mayor Bermúdez explained that the route aims to get people involved in supporting local small and medium-sized businesses. He said it helps boost the economy and social life of the city. The initiative also recognizes the hard work businesses put in during the festive season, which is crucial for their growth. The City Council is committed to this support through its Trade Transformation Plan for the Rambla and Salamanca Commercial Zones.
Carmen Pérez, CEO of the Development Society, confirmed that all 64 businesses are keen to make local shopping more competitive and appealing this Christmas. She added that this effort helps strengthen the economy and improve services for both Santa Cruz de Tenerife residents and the many tourists visiting the city.
Pérez also mentioned that the route began on December 9. So far, 365 people have signed up on the web app, and 334 votes have been cast. More people can still join in and vote until December 24.
Pérez stressed how important it is for the public to support and participate in such events. To show appreciation, the Development Society will enter everyone who votes into a draw to win one of three €100 gift vouchers. These vouchers can be spent at any of the participating businesses on the route.
She also announced that the three businesses with the best-rated window displays will receive prizes. Each winner will get a social media marketing campaign, created by a specialist agency and worth at least €500, along with a diploma recognizing their achievement.
If you'd like more information, or to see the participating shops and their locations, you can visit the web app. It's available in both Spanish and English and can be found at www.santacruzescomercio.com/ruta-de-escaparates, where you can also cast your vote.
This initiative is part of the Trade Transformation Plan for the Rambla and Salamanca Commercial Zones. The project receives funding from the European Union through the FEDER Canarias 2021-2027 Program, under the theme 'A way of making Europe,' as part of the Smart Commercial Destination Canary Islands call.
