New Year's illuminations are already being installed in Santa Cruz de Tenerife!
The installation of festive illuminations for the New Year 2025 has begun in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with the aim of decorating the city and attracting tourists.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is already preparing for the New Year 2025! The city authorities have started installing festive illuminations. Utility workers are working quickly: they have almost finished laying the lines and installing electrical panels that will power all the New Year's lights.
Next, they will hang garlands, install decorations and light installations, which will gradually transform the city on the eve of the holidays.
The mayor of the city, José Manuel Bermúdez, says: "Santa Cruz has long been famous for its Christmas decorations in the Canary Islands. That's why we start preparing in advance to make sure everything is on time and done properly." He also added that "New Year's lights not only make the city more beautiful, but also help local businesses, hotels and attract tourists."
And the advisor on communal issues, Carlos Tarife, shared an innovation: "This year, for the first time, we will decorate the main pedestrian boulevards of the city." According to him, Manuel Hermoso Rojas, Benito Pérez Armas and Princes of Spain avenues will shine with festive lights for the first time, creating a single New Year's space in Santa Cruz.
Tarife also assured that the works are organized in such a way as to disturb residents as little as possible, and everything will be completed before the official opening.
Festive illumination is part of the city's plan to make Santa Cruz even more attractive to tourists and locals during the holidays. All this will be complemented by festive events, fairs, music and entertainment in various parts of the city.
