The 31st Trofeo Infantas de España regatta, one of the key sailing events in the Canary Islands, will take place in Tenerife, with the expected participation of around 30 vessels.

Tenerife is preparing for the traditional Trofeo Infantas de España regatta, which will be held for the 31st time.

This is one of the main sailing events in the Canary Islands, which is part of the Spanish Cup and the Canary Islands Cruise Circuit. Earlier this year, the Trofeo César Manrique regatta in Lanzarote and the Trofeo Princesa de Asturias in Gran Canaria have already taken place.

About 30 sailboats are expected. Two races are scheduled for Saturday, and a coastal race along the city, from Antequera to Añana and back to the port of Santa Cruz, is scheduled for Sunday. In one of the races, all vessels will start simultaneously. The winners will be determined in the overall standings and in separate classes: ORC 0-3, ORC 4 and ORC 5.

The regatta is supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, the City Hall of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the local council of Tenerife, the La Caixa Foundation and other organizations. The Spanish Navy, the Maritime Captaincy, the Royal House, the Civil Guard, the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and many other partners also cooperate.
