Santa Cruz Development Society Announces 61 New Job Openings in Tenerife
The Santa Cruz Development Society has launched 61 new job openings across the healthcare, industrial, and hospitality sectors to support local employment in Tenerife.
Public employment services in Tenerife are expanding this week with 61 new job openings managed by the Santa Cruz Development Society’s Placement Agency. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and local employers, reflecting the island's unique, seasonal, and specialized labor market.
The new vacancies cover a wide range of sectors:
- Healthcare and Social Services: There are ten openings for home care assistants across the metropolitan, North, and Southwest areas. Additionally, La Laguna is hiring three physiotherapists, and there is one medical position available specifically for individuals with a disability certificate.
- Industry and Services: Candelaria is looking for ten laundry operators (reserved for people with disabilities) and one maintenance officer. In the capital, there is a demand for technical roles, including a heavy machinery operator, a refrigeration technician, an accounting clerk, a sales agent, and two automotive advisors.
- Hospitality: The sector continues to hire, with vacancies for five waiter assistants, five kitchen assistants, room cleaning staff, two evening-shift kitchen porters, and a temporary cleaning operator.
Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez noted that this system helps the city understand local hiring needs and geographical trends. Carmen Pérez, CEO of the Development Society, added that the listings are designed to support everyone from first-time job seekers to experienced professionals looking for a career change.
To apply, candidates should register and upload their current resume at empleasantacruz.com. The portal also allows local businesses to post job openings for free, helping to streamline the hiring process across the island.
