Santa Cruz de Tenerife has unveiled a diverse cultural program for the final quarter of the year, featuring immersive historical tours, local folklore performances, and theatrical productions to celebrate the city's heritage.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s cultural calendar for the final quarter of the year highlights local history and heritage. The City Council’s Autonomous Organization of Culture has designed a program that blends education with entertainment, inviting residents to engage with the city’s traditions through everything from classic theater to immersive mystery tours.

The centerpiece of the season is the Finados festival, which the council is revitalizing through performances of the classic Spanish romantic drama Don Juan Tenorio. The play will be performed at 7:00 p.m. in three community centers: El Sobradillo (October 10), Nuevo Obrero (October 17), and Valleseco (October 24). The play’s themes of mortality and transcendence align perfectly with the traditional spirit of the season.

The program also explores local folklore with A Story of Canarian Witchcraft, directed by Néstor Verona. This production, which dives into the archipelago’s popular legends, will tour several locations: Valleseco (October 17, 7:00 p.m.), the Los Lavaderos Art Hall (October 30 and 31, 8:00 p.m.), Nuevo Obrero (November 7, 7:00 p.m.), and El Sobradillo (November 21, 7:00 p.m.).

Heritage takes center stage in other unique events, such as Mystery in the Temple, an immersive experience that turns the Masonic Temple into a puzzle-solving adventure. Additionally, a theatrical walking tour will celebrate the centenary of García Sanabria Park, transporting visitors back to 1926—a pivotal year in the city's modernization. The lineup concludes with OPEN! I'm Here Now, a dance performance exploring the different stages of a woman’s life.

Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez’s administration views these activities as a way for citizens to connect with their local heritage. By blending learning with creativity, the council hopes to strengthen the community through a shared appreciation of the city’s iconic spaces and traditions.
