Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Host Third Annual Family Fest at Secundino Delgado Park

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is once again focusing on bringing its urban green spaces to life. The city council has announced that the third annual "Family Fest" will take place this Saturday, April 18, at Secundino Delgado Park. The event will run continuously from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Organized by the Centro district office, the festival is part of a broader strategy to turn local parks into community hubs. Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez emphasized that these events are vital for strengthening neighborhood ties, while councilwoman Purificación Dávila noted that the program is designed to be inclusive, blending sports with cultural activities. By encouraging residents to use public spaces for social interaction, the city hopes to combat urban isolation and improve the overall quality of life.

The festival will feature a wide range of activities throughout the day. A central stage will host live performances, while various themed zones will offer creative workshops, including face painting, balloon modeling, and bubble shows.

For those looking for active entertainment, the park will feature bouncy castles, treasure hunts, and instant photo booths. The event also includes a tech zone with robotics and video games, as well as a sports area equipped with LED ping pong tables, foosball, air hockey, and mini-golf. Through this initiative, the City Council aims to promote healthy, intergenerational fun and encourage residents to make the most of their local public facilities.
