Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Host Burger Fest Canarias This March

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is set to cement its place on the national food map with the upcoming Burger Fest Canarias. Organizers aim to make the event a premier destination for burger lovers across Europe. The festival will take place at the Santa Cruz Exhibition Centre from March 27 to 29, and entry is free to encourage a large turnout.

The event is designed as a complete entertainment experience rather than just a food fair. More than 40 food trucks and local restaurants will be on-site, serving up unique recipes that highlight local ingredients. To ensure everyone can enjoy the festival, there will be plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options, plus a dedicated dessert area with a dozen different vendors.

The festival also has an international flair, headlined by the New York-based Gotham Burger Social Club. To wash down the food, there will be over 50 beer taps featuring craft and imported brews, alongside a curated selection of local, national, and international wines.

Beyond the food, the festival offers a full daily program starting at 1:00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy live music from local bands and tribute acts, as well as dedicated play areas for children. This format reflects a growing trend in Spain, where food events are evolving into urban festivals that prioritize the overall visitor experience to boost tourism and local engagement.
