Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Host Burger Fest Canarias from March 27-29

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is set to become a major destination for food lovers as it prepares for the upcoming Burger Fest Canarias. Held at the Santa Cruz Trade Fair Center from March 27 to 29, the event aims to establish itself as Europe’s premier gourmet burger festival.

Entry to the festival is free, and the event is designed to be more than just a culinary experience; it is a celebration of culture and urban leisure. The venue will host over 40 food trucks and stalls from across the Canary Islands, each serving unique recipes created specifically for the festival. Organizers have also prioritized inclusivity, ensuring that vegetarian and gluten-free options are available, with a strong focus on using local ingredients.

This year’s edition has an international flair, featuring a guest appearance by the New York-based Gotham Burger Social Club. Visitors can pair their meals with a selection of over 50 craft beers and a wide range of local and international wines. The festival also includes a dedicated dessert area with a dozen specialized vendors and a children’s zone for families.

The event will feature non-stop live music starting at 1:00 p.m. each day, showcasing local bands and tribute acts. By blending high-quality street food with cultural entertainment, the festival highlights the growing trend of "gourmet" street food—a movement that has evolved into a significant market capable of drawing large crowds and boosting the local economy.
