Santa Cruz de Tenerife is set to host the Noctámbula and Summer Pop festivals this weekend, an ambitious cultural event expected to draw 12,000 attendees and generate over €2.3 million for the local economy.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is gearing up for a busy weekend of culture and commerce as the city hosts the Noctámbula Tenerife and Summer Pop Tenerife festivals at the Fairgrounds. Organized by Noctámbula Arts y Music S.L., these events are part of a wider effort to establish the Canary Islands as a major player in the national entertainment industry—a sector that has become vital for boosting local businesses and consumer spending since the pandemic.

The festivals are expected to generate over €2.3 million for the local economy, creating jobs for 1,000 workers and drawing an estimated 12,000 attendees. The production is technically ambitious, featuring 600 spotlights, 400 square meters of LED screens, and a first for the islands: AI-powered virtual presenters to assist the public.

The two-day program highlights the variety of today’s music scene. On Saturday, September 12, the Noctámbula festival will showcase electronic music, featuring the exclusive Spanish performance of Tomorrowland Symphony of Unity, along with sets by Meduza and Indira Paganotto. The venue will be split into three areas—the Terrace Stage, 360º Stage, and Main Stage—with music starting at 3:00 p.m. On the following day, Summer Pop Tenerife, hosted by radio personality Tony Aguilar, will feature pop and urban acts including Leire Martínez, Álvaro de Luna, Ruslana, and rising stars from the Click & Roll platform.

Beyond the music, the event will feature food trucks, a "Market Km 0" area for local crafts, and a dedicated gaming zone. Due to the large crowds expected, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council and the organizers are encouraging attendees to use public transport, noting the venue’s easy access to the tram, the Titsa bus network, and the local transport interchange. Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez and Deputy Minister of the Presidency Alfonso Cabello have both praised the festivals for their role in supporting local talent and creating jobs in the municipality.
