The Los Lavaderos Art Gallery in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its free "Lavaderos Live Music" summer series, featuring a diverse lineup of performances throughout July and August.

The Los Lavaderos Art Gallery is once again the heart of summer culture in Santa Cruz de Tenerife as it celebrates the tenth anniversary of its Lavaderos Live Music series. Organizers have announced that the program will run throughout July and August. True to its mission of making culture accessible to everyone, admission remains free until the venue reaches capacity. The event is supported by the Centro-Ifara District Council.

Under the artistic direction of musician and journalist Rubén Díaz and produced by Makaron, this year’s theme focuses on resilience and reunion, with the slogan: "Ten years is nothing, but it brings emotion to our embraces." The series kicks off this Thursday at 8:30 p.m. with Alisia Sanz & Band, launching a diverse lineup that spans jazz, pop-rock, singer-songwriter performances, and French music.

The program highlights a commitment to musical variety and collaboration between public and private sectors, supported by the Autonomous Organization of Culture and sponsors including Dorada Especial and Aguaria.

July Performance Schedule:

  • July 9: Francophone music with Ana de la Preugne, Matías Boussel, and Rapha Broken Strings.
  • July 16: Jazz with the Ancor Miranda Trio.
  • July 23: Covers by Picardíaz & Lord, and Reverso.
  • July 30: Contemporary music by Blue Rondo.

August features a strong focus on community. On August 1st at 7:00 p.m., the "Boleros Against Fire" charity event will take place, featuring a donation box and performances by harpist José Luis León, along with Cancioneros, Toscal Romántico, Ruimán Quartet, Fragilísticos, and Guayakí 3. The series concludes on August 29th at 6:00 p.m. with the "Commemorative Concert No. 101," featuring rock bands Whiskería Lili, Mono Sapiens, and Escaldón de Golfos, plus DJs Chary Lou and Toni LaCalle.

These events not only energize the cultural life of Tenerife’s capital but also demonstrate the value of using public spaces for the community. The decade-long success of Lavaderos Live Music proves the effectiveness of a model that blends entertainment with support for local artists and social responsibility.
