Santa Cruz de Tenerife Launches Preventive Pest Control in Salud-La Salle District
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has launched a routine pest control operation across the Salud-La Salle district to prevent rodent and insect infestations in public spaces.
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has launched a pest control operation in the Salud-La Salle district this week. Part of a regular maintenance strategy, the work aims to prevent the spread of rodents and insects by monitoring and treating public spaces.
The schedule for the operation is as follows:
- La Salud: Monday and Tuesday
- Cuesta de Piedra: Wednesday
- El Perú: Thursday
- Cruz del Señor: Friday
The local government emphasized that this is a routine preventive measure rather than a response to a health emergency or a sudden increase in pest reports.
In addition to these scheduled visits, the City Council maintains a system for handling individual reports. Residents can use the "SC Mejora" mobile app to notify the council of infestations and track the status of their requests. Officials noted that the success of these efforts relies on community cooperation, urging residents to keep public areas clean and ensure all waste is disposed of inside proper containers to discourage pests.
These preventive actions are a standard part of the city’s district management, with the council rotating through neighborhoods to protect public health. This week’s work in Salud-La Salle is one of many ongoing efforts to keep the city clean and safe.
