The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Development Society has launched a new initiative offering in-person workshops and an expanded catalog of free online courses to help job seekers improve their digital and professional skills.

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Development Society has launched a new training strategy to help job seekers overcome common barriers to employment. This initiative is designed to meet the demands of today’s job market, where digital skills and remote administrative processes are now essential.

The Municipal Employment and Training Center is hosting a series of practical, in-person workshops focused on key professional skills. Highlights include a digital literacy session on August 26, covering topics like efficient web browsing and verifying online information. This will be followed by a module on office software for document management on August 31, and the "Activa-T Empleo" employability program, which runs from September 1 to 17. While 16 different training sessions are planned, residents are encouraged to check official channels for the most up-to-date availability.

In addition to in-person classes, the City Council is expanding its virtual learning platform, Santa Cruz Form@. Residents can currently access 100 free online courses in fields such as hospitality, administration, healthcare, and marketing. The Development Society plans to grow this catalog to 170 courses by the end of the year to better match the needs of local businesses.

To sign up for either in-person or online training, interested individuals should visit the Emplea Santa Cruz portal. This website serves as the main hub for all municipal employment services, including job placement assistance and personalized career advice.
