Santa Cruz de Tenerife Hosts 'Lavaderos Live Music' Series This Thursday
The Los Lavaderos Art Gallery in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host a Francophone-focused live music event this Thursday at 8:30 p.m. as part of the city's initiative to revitalize historic cultural spaces.
Revitalizing cultural spaces in downtown Santa Cruz de Tenerife is back on the city’s agenda this week. The City Council has announced that the Los Lavaderos Art Gallery, located near the Hotel Mencey, will host the latest installment of the Lavaderos Live Music series this Thursday at 8:30 p.m. This initiative, organized by the Centro-Ifara District Council, aims to turn the venue into a go-to spot for live performances.
The upcoming event features an international lineup with a focus on Francophone music. The evening kicks off with French-Argentine artist Ana de la Preugne, who will present her show, Viajes, Voyages. Accompanied by bassist Sergio Pissolito and percussionist Eduardo Lastra, she will perform a mix of Argentine-influenced tracks and original compositions in French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The program also features Paris-born musicians Mattias Boissel and Rapha Brokenstrings, who now live on the island. The duo will perform a collaborative set dedicated to celebrating the musical heritage of their home country. This event is part of the city’s ongoing strategy to decentralize culture by using historic buildings as unique venues, helping local and international artists connect with the public across the city.
