Santa Cruz de Tenerife is launching a new round of 1,220 Sunday shopping vouchers this Friday to continue supporting local businesses within the city's tourist zone.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is continuing its Sunday voucher program to boost local shops and encourage spending. Developed by the City Council and the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA), the initiative aims to support retail businesses in the city’s major tourist zone and combat seasonal lulls.

The program’s previous round on October 11 was a major success, with 98.33% of vouchers used, injecting over 31,000 euros into the local economy. Nearly every participating shop saw transactions, and ten businesses—including Perfumerías Dalia, Bazar Lali, and Atmósfera Sport—reached the maximum redemption limit of 1,500 euros.

For this coming Sunday, the City Council is releasing 1,220 new vouchers. Shoppers can claim them starting at 10:00 a.m. this Friday, October 16, via the official digital platform. Vouchers will be available until noon on Sunday or until they run out, and they are only valid for use on the Sunday they are issued.

The City Council plans to continue this program for the remaining Sundays in October. Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez remains committed to this strategy, which helps small businesses that meet the regulatory requirements for operating in the tourist area. A full list of participating shops and the link to purchase vouchers can be found on the project’s official website.
