The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival has appointed Enrique Camacho and Yeray Piñero to a new dual leadership team, tasking them with managing the festival's galas and competitions, respectively, to ensure operational excellence.

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival has a clear plan for its next edition. The City Council’s Autonomous Organization of Festivals has announced a new dual leadership team, splitting responsibilities between Enrique Camacho and Yeray Piñero to ensure professional management across the event's two main pillars.

Enrique Camacho will return to direct the galas, including the Queen’s gala and the January 22nd opening ceremony. Councilman Javier Caraballero chose Camacho for his extensive background in cultural management and large-scale production, which includes a decade at the Auditorio de Tenerife and directing the Veranos del Taoro Festival. After a three-year break, Camacho’s experience in business and musical theater is expected to bring a fresh creative vision to the festival's major shows.

Meanwhile, Yeray Piñero will continue to lead the competitions and serve as the primary liaison for the carnival groups. This decision aims to build on the success of last year’s model. With a background in audiovisual production and international market management, such as MAPAS, Piñero will act as a technical and artistic bridge. His role is vital for operational stability, covering everything from stage production to coordinating with the groups that make the Carnival possible.

Supported by Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez, this new structure aims to balance technical innovation with the festival's traditional spirit. By appointing two directors who already understand the inner workings of the "chicharrero" Carnival, the City Council hopes to reduce operational risks while raising the quality of the events. This division of labor is designed to protect the reputation of one of Spain’s most famous festivals, ensuring that both the spectacular galas and the complex competitions receive dedicated, expert leadership.
