Santa Cruz de Tenerife Announces Two-Week Roadworks on Calle Simón Bolívar
Major roadworks on Calle Simón Bolívar in Santa Cruz de Tenerife begin Monday, August 17, as part of a two-week infrastructure upgrade that will cause temporary traffic and parking restrictions.
Starting Monday, August 17, traffic in central Santa Cruz de Tenerife will change as major roadworks begin on Calle Simón Bolívar. The project is part of the city’s "Urban Impulse" strategy, a €230,000 investment aimed at upgrading local infrastructure.
The work is expected to last two weeks and has been divided into four stages, each lasting about three days, to help minimize disruption. To allow for paving, the city has restricted work hours to Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Because the project requires close coordination between the infrastructure and traffic departments, parking along the street will be closed in sections as work progresses. Drivers are asked to move their vehicles from marked areas before each phase begins to avoid any issues.
Temporary signs will be in place to guide drivers and pedestrians along alternative routes. Authorities are urging everyone to use caution when traveling near the area, as the presence of heavy machinery and construction crews will change normal traffic patterns until the end of the month.
