Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host its second annual summer festival on the port esplanade on June 19, featuring a charity-focused dining area and free live music to boost the local economy.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is gearing up for a summer festival that aims to boost the local economy while offering residents and visitors a unique urban experience. The city council has announced that the port esplanade will host the second edition of this event on June 19, running from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Organized by the municipal Development Society and the Zona Centro association, the festival is part of a broader strategy to use the city’s waterfront to attract visitors and support local businesses. During the official launch at the Palacio de Carta, Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez emphasized that such events are vital for strengthening the city’s commercial sector, a goal backed by both regional government and local business leaders.

The event will accommodate up to 5,000 people, split into two distinct areas. A special dining section, inspired by the international "white dinner" concept, will host 500 guests. Tickets for this area go on sale this Wednesday via the event’s official website, with the 3-euro entry fee donated to charity. The concert area will accommodate 4,500 people, with free admission available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Supported by representatives from the Canary Islands government and the Federation of Urban Areas (FAUCA), the project aims to build on the success of last year’s event. By hosting large-scale gatherings in public spaces, the city hopes to keep tourism steady throughout the year and provide leisure activities that blend culture, food, and community life in the heart of Santa Cruz.
