Santa Cruz de Tenerife will implement various road closures and parking restrictions this Sunday, June 7, to accommodate the city's annual Bicycle Festival.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is preparing for major traffic changes this Sunday, June 7, as the city hosts its annual Bicycle Festival. To ensure the safety of all participants, the City Council has announced a series of road closures and parking restrictions throughout the day.

Parking Restrictions Parking will be prohibited in several areas starting early Sunday morning:

  • From 1:00 a.m.: Avenida de Madrid, Avenida de Bélgica, Calle Méndez Núñez, Calle El Pilar, and Calle Villalba Hervás.
  • From 3:00 a.m.: Calle La Marina, Avenida Marítima, Avenida Francisco La Roche, and the area between the Cabildo and Europa plazas.

Road Closures Traffic will be restricted as follows:

  • 7:00 a.m.: Avenida de Madrid closes to vehicles.
  • 9:00 a.m.: Avenida Francisco La Roche closes between the Tres de Mayo roundabout and the Rambla.
  • 10:00 a.m.: Rolling closures will be implemented by local police along the rest of the event route.

Roads will gradually reopen once the final participants have passed and the area is confirmed safe by security personnel.

Local authorities advise drivers to plan their journeys in advance and follow the instructions of police and event staff to avoid delays. These measures are necessary to keep the public safe during this large-scale community event.
