Santa Cruz de Tenerife will implement temporary parking closures across three days in late August to accommodate filming for the Catalan network TV3.

Filming in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is set to disrupt local parking once again. The City Council’s Mobility Department has announced that a production for the Catalan network TV3 will require the closure of several public parking areas during the last week of August. While the city assures residents that traffic flow will remain unaffected, the frequent use of public streets for filming highlights the city’s popularity as a film set—a strategy that requires careful management to avoid inconveniencing locals.

The parking restrictions will take place over three days:

  • Monday, August 24: On the Avenida Marítima, near the Alameda del Duque de Santa Elena, 20 meters of parallel parking heading toward Plaza del Cabildo will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 26: This will be the most significant closure. Parking will be suspended on both sides of Calle Doctor Jiménez Díaz, between Calle Benito Pérez Armas and Calle Blas Cabrera, covering 125 meters. This restriction lasts from midnight until 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, August 28: On the Avenida de Madrid, next to Parque La Granja, 90 meters of parking on the right side heading toward Avenida Benito Pérez Armas will be occupied from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The city has strictly instructed the production company to keep all technical vehicles within these designated areas. These agreements are part of standard municipal regulations, designed to balance the economic benefits of the film industry with the public’s need to access city streets.
