The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Development Society has announced 96 new job openings across diverse sectors, including healthcare, technical trades, and hospitality, to boost local employment.

The labor market in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is showing positive momentum, with the city’s Development Society Placement Agency announcing 96 new job openings across 54 different roles. According to the City Council, the agency acts as a vital link between local businesses and job seekers, particularly in sectors where specialized technical and healthcare skills are in high demand.

The healthcare and home assistance sector has the most urgent needs. Openings include ten socio-sanitary workers, five assistants, twelve caregivers (both live-in and live-out), a geriatric nursing assistant, and four physiotherapists.

There is also a strong demand for technical and industrial roles. Available positions include seven cleaning staff, a maintenance technician, an appliance repair specialist, six electricians, a refrigeration technician, a diesel mechanic, a support technician, and two drivers with Class C licenses for laundry services. Additionally, there are ten openings for laundry operators specifically for individuals with a disability certificate.

Other key sectors are also hiring. In administration and finance, companies are looking for an accountant, a tax technician, a receptionist, and a Human Resources manager. The hospitality industry is seeking to bolster its teams with two griddle cooks, five kitchen assistants, a charcuterie specialist, a pastry chef, and a sommelier. The remaining vacancies cover construction, maritime logistics, tourism, and retail, including roles for a technical architect, gas transport drivers, laborers, and sales advisors.

The Development Society encourages all candidates to keep their profiles updated on the official portal, www.empleasantacruz.com, to ensure they are considered for the right roles. This platform is free for both job seekers and businesses. These vacancies highlight the importance of municipal agencies in connecting local talent with industry needs, which remains a key step in reducing unemployment across the region.
