Santa Cruz de Tenerife has adjusted the summer operating hours of its municipal sports facilities to better accommodate residents' schedules and promote physical activity.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s Sports Department is adjusting its municipal sports facilities for the summer to better suit residents' work schedules and leisure time.

From July 1 to August 31, the Barranco de Santos Sports Complex in the Salud-La Salle district will offer extended hours. On weekdays, the facility will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Weekend hours are set for 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. The complex will be closed on public holidays. Users can book the facility's five padel courts—three of which are covered—and its multi-sport court through the city's centralized reservation system.

Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez and Sports Councilor Alicia Cebrián noted that these changes are designed to make it easier for citizens to stay active during the summer months.

The city also continues to offer access to other facilities. The Las Delicias Sports Center and the Tío Pino Municipal Tennis Center will remain open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on weekends and holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. These locations, along with the Barranco de Santos complex, are part of a wider effort to ensure accessible sports facilities across the municipality.
