Santa Cruz Crash Injures Two Police Officers, Driver
Two police officers and a driver sustained minor injuries in a car crash in Santa Cruz de Tenerife early Sunday morning while the officers were responding to a domestic violence call.
Early Sunday morning, two local police officers and a driver were hurt in a crash in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Police say the accident happened at 1 a.m. at the intersection of Reyes Católicos Avenue and Miguel de Unamuno Street.
The officers were reportedly on their way to a domestic violence call near Tomé Cano and had their patrol car's lights and sirens on.
The other driver was heading along Reyes Católicos Avenue toward the República Dominicana roundabout.
The collision left both officers with minor injuries. The other driver was also slightly hurt.
Other officers had to block off the area due to oil spilled from the vehicles and debris scattered on the road.
Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium, who were nearby at the Tomé Cano park, also helped by cleaning up the road.
