The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival has unveiled the design for its 2026 stage, featuring a 1,400-square-meter performance area and 175 square meters of LED screens, promising an immersive and spectacular experience for 7,000 spectators and 10,000 performers.
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival has unveiled the design for its 2026 stage, which promises to be one of the most spectacular in recent years. The city council presented the official plans on Tuesday. The stage will feature a massive 1,400 square meters of performance area, four access ramps, a 9-meter wide front, and 175 square meters of LED screens that will be a crucial part of the visual experience.
The venue is designed to accommodate 7,000 spectators and up to 10,000 performers from the various Carnival groups, including murgas, comparsas, dance troupes, and rondallas.
The stage was designed by Sergio Macías, who describes the concept as "immersive, colorful, and full of life." He chose a dynamic style that aims to surround the audience, seamlessly blending lighting, movement, and live digital projections.
While respecting the traditions of the local "chicharrero" Carnival, the design also incorporates modern technology to create a complete spectacle. The goal is to amaze everyone, whether they are there in person or watching on television and digital platforms.
