Tomorrow, the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host its Senior Queen Gala at the Tenerife Exhibition Centre, celebrating older people with eleven contestants, performances by senior groups and musical acts, broadcast live on Televisión Canaria.

The Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host its Senior Queen Gala tomorrow. This event is a key part of the festivities, celebrating and recognizing older people. Eleven contestants will compete for the title at the Tenerife Exhibition Centre, with the show starting at 5:30 PM. Victorio Pérez will host the evening.

Alongside the queen's coronation, the Carnival Senior Groups Festival will also take place. This exhibition features performances from ten groups: Con Nuestra Gente Chincanayros, Volcanes del Teide, Reconecta2, Tercera Edad Tegueste, Las Incansables de Icod, Antón Guanche Candelaria, Mayores del 2000, Fraisa, Monte Nevado, and Rondalla Las Nieves.

Santa Cruz Mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, stressed the importance of this event. He said it recognizes the valuable contributions of older people and praised the efforts of all the participating groups. He also thanked the sponsors for supporting the Santa Cruz Carnival. Javier Caraballero, the Councillor for Festivities, highlighted the careful planning and production of the show. This year, Paula Álvarez is directing it for the first time, aiming to create a strong emotional connection with the older audience.

The jury choosing the Queen includes a panel of experts and a public representative. They are: Héctor León (film and theatre costume designer), María Encarnación Ibáñez Bueno (patternmaking and sewing professor), Marielba González García (director of MG Medical Group), Marta Cairós (director of Televisión Canaria's News Services), Patricia Hodgson (painter and art curator), Carmen Suárez Benítez (Doctor of Art and Humanities and Cultural Heritage conservator), and Inés Domínguez Rodríguez, who represents the public.

Musical acts will add to the evening's entertainment. King África will perform, along with a joint show from Pepe Benavente, El Morocho, and Jhonny Maquinaria. Yanely Hernández will also contribute. Televisión Canaria will broadcast the show live. Doors to the Exhibition Centre open at 4:00 PM, and entry is by invitation only, which will be given out at the entrance.
