All tickets for the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival's adult murga final and season passes sold out in just over 90 minutes on Thursday, following earlier technical problems with the sales website.

All tickets for the final and season passes for the adult murga contest at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival sold out in just over 90 minutes on Thursday. This was confirmed by the city's Department of Festivals.

Sales for all Carnival contests, including a phase that will open this afternoon, began yesterday at 9:00 AM. However, technical problems with the website led to a temporary halt in sales. This was done to ensure equal opportunities for all interested buyers.

Javier Caraballero, the councilor in charge of the Department of Festivals, explained that they started noticing website issues soon after the sales process began. They then contacted the company responsible for the sales platform. Since the problems could not be resolved quickly enough, the decision was made to stop sales. Any tickets that were sold during that period remain valid, according to the Department of Festivals.

Currently, tickets are still available for the four preliminary rounds of the murga contest and can be purchased through the official website.

This Thursday, starting at 5:00 PM, a new sales process will open for the choreographic groups, rondallas, and comparsas contests. A virtual queue will be activated fifteen minutes earlier, at 4:45 PM.

Furthermore, tomorrow, Friday the 23rd, at 9:00 AM, ticket sales will begin for the adult and children's Queen galas. From 5:00 PM, the box office at the Exhibition Center will open for in-person sales of any tickets not sold out on the online platform.

All sales will be conducted through the website entradascarnavaltenerife.com, with a limit of four tickets per card and event, as reported by the City Council.
