Santa Cruz de Tenerife is letting the public choose the poster for the 2026 Carnival, which will have a Latin Rhythms theme. Voting kicks off on Monday, October 20, at 8 PM. They'll also reveal the five finalists chosen by the judges.

This year's contest was super popular, with a record-breaking 62 entries! The finalists hoping to create the official image for the big Chicharrera party are Juliana Serrano, Arón Morales Pérez, Alfonso Bravo, Héctor Expósito, and Lía de Paz Franchy.

You can vote for your favorite design on the official Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2026 Carnival website until October 30. Each person gets one vote.

The poster with the most votes wins and becomes the official image of the 2026 Carnival. The artist behind it will receive €12,000! Plus, all five finalists have already won €1,000 each.

Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez said, "The Santa Cruz Carnival belongs to the people, so we want them to pick the image that represents them in 2026." He believes that public involvement "is part of what makes the Carnival special and one of the reasons it's so great."

Javier Caraballero, the Councilor for Festivals, was impressed with the finalists: "I was really surprised by the five entries, they're all so different. I'm confident we'll have a poster that does our Carnival justice."

The winning poster reveal will officially launch the 2026 Carnival, with the opening gala on January 16.
