
Santa Cruz Carnival 2026 Performance Order Drawn for Latin Rhythms Celebration
Santa Cruz City Council drew lots today to determine the performance order for over a hundred carnival groups participating in the 2026 contests, which will celebrate Latin Rhythms.
Santa Cruz City Council held a draw today to decide the performance order for carnival groups taking part in the 2026 contests. The 2026 carnival will celebrate Latin Rhythms. The draw took place at the Espacio Cajasiete auditorium and was attended by Javier Caraballero, the Councilor for Festivals.
Many carnival enthusiasts and representatives from all the participating groups were present.
From today, over a hundred groups will know when they'll perform in the various contests and competitions that make up the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2026.
The draw covered categories including children's and adult murgas, children's choreographic groups, senior groups, rondallas, musical groups, and comparsas. The performance schedule is as follows:
First phase: January 23 Second phase: January 24 First phase: January 26 Second phase: January 27 Third phase: January 28 Fourth phase: January 29
The final of the adult murga contest, featuring the top eight scoring groups from the preliminary rounds, will be held on Saturday, January 31, at the Recinto Ferial.
