Santa Cruz Announces Tapas, Halloween Shop Window Winners
Santa Cruz de Tenerife announced Bar Nueva Era as the top winner of its Local Product Tapas Route and Óptica Vinay for the Halloween Shop Window Route, with other commercial routes still ongoing.
The winners of Santa Cruz de Tenerife's Local Product Tapas Route have been announced. This year, over 130 people and about twenty businesses took part.
The public voted Bar Nueva Era's "Tosta Canaria" tapa as the top winner. Don Café came in second with their "Timbal Don Café," and Cervecería Caruso placed third with "La de siempre, diferente."
The City Council also gave out awards for the Halloween Shop Window Route, which ran from October 27 to November 1. Óptica Vinay won first prize, HAND-DIY took second, and Centro Ortopédico Parque received third, based on nearly 250 votes cast through the web app.
Businesses that won in either route received a diploma and a 500-euro voucher to help with social media advertising. Also, six voters were randomly chosen to each receive a 100-euro voucher, which can be used at the participating businesses.
Meanwhile, the Toast Route is still running until December 14. Over 20 venues are participating, offering toasts paired with local wines, craft beers, and seasonal drinks.
The Christmas Shop Window Route is also ongoing, featuring 66 businesses, and will be available until December 24. Additionally, this weekend marks the final Historical-Commercial Routes through the Salamanca and Rambla neighborhoods.
