
Rojo Cancionero Brings "No canto por cantar" to La Laguna

This Friday, the Rojo Cancionero group is bringing their show, "No canto por cantar," to La Laguna.
You can catch the concert at the Teatro Unión Tejina (TUT) starting at 8:00 p.m. Entry is free until the theater is full.
This event is brought to you by the Centro de la Cultura Popular Canaria (CCPC), with help from the Culture and Festivals Departments of the La Laguna City Council.
Rojo Cancionero features original songs and a strong message. Salvador Amor (son of the famous Rafael Amor) brings his unique voice and creativity, alongside David Díaz on guitar. Singer Begoña Ortiz later joined the group, creating a fantastic mix of poetry and music.
Founded in 2010, Rojo Cancionero draws inspiration from Latin American and Spanish popular song. Its members have been performing individually and in other groups for many years.
Their "No canto por cantar" concert includes their own songs and their takes on pieces by artists like Rafael Amor, Alberto Cortez, Chavela Vargas, Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara, Armando Tejada Gómez, and Mercedes Sosa.
