In the Canary Islands, the owner of a real estate recovery company, Roberto Cristian Perez, was arrested during an eviction, but later released on bail, after which he accused the police of abuse and threatened to sue.

In the Canary Islands, Roberto Cristian Perez, the owner of a real estate recovery company, was detained. He was arrested right during an eviction in the south of Tenerife.

According to eyewitnesses, this happened on Tuesday, September 16, in the town of Granadilla de Abona. Police officers entered the building where Perez and his employees were already present and put handcuffs on him.

During the arrest, Perez argued with the police officers. As he was being led out of the building, a tense situation arose between his employees and law enforcement officers.

Before being put in the police car, Perez addressed an acquaintance who was filming everything on his phone, as well as the police officers themselves.

He asked the police officers to be quiet so that he could speak. He stated that he had been a "criminal" for almost his entire life, but added that "some police officers act worse than he ever did." He also said that he was ashamed of what was happening.

"Now I am being taken to prison, to the judge, and we will explain everything to him," Perez said.

Later, Roberto Cristian was released on bail.

He also spoke about his arrest on social media. In a video filmed on the island of Mahora, he thanked the "decent police officers" he dealt with during the arrest.

But then he insulted other police officers: "Because of four fools... sorry, I didn't mean to offend people with disabilities, he's just a clown... maybe he's even illiterate, I don't know..."

In the video, he stated that he could sue, "because you are harassing my family."

He also hinted at one of the police officers: "We know where your partner lives, we have everything we need about you, because you intimidate people."

Roberto Cristian added: "A girl you hit has already been found, you illegally detained people..."
