Road improvement work on Hoya Fría road in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will cause traffic disruptions and temporary bus route changes starting the evening of February 20.

Road improvement work on Hoya Fría road will disrupt traffic in Santa Cruz de Tenerife starting on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 20. To ensure safety in this busy industrial area, the city’s Mobility and Universal Accessibility department has announced temporary route changes for public transport lines 903 and 923.

The changes take effect at 8:00 p.m. and will impact traffic in both directions:

  • Toward Las Moraditas: Vehicles will divert from the TF-29 toward the Mercatenerife roundabout, then travel along Calle Jesús Hernández Guzmán and Subida El Mayorazgo before returning to Hoya Fría road.
  • Toward the North Dock: Drivers will turn onto Calle Carmen Goya Hernández, connect to Calle Jesús Hernández Guzmán, and rejoin the regular route after passing the Mercatenerife roundabout.

During this time, the bus stops at the Cemetery and on Calle Carmen Goya will be closed. To help passengers, the City Council has set up temporary stops on Hoya Fría road and Calle Carmen Goya.

These adjustments will remain in place until the paving work is finished. This project is part of ongoing maintenance to repair asphalt on a road that handles heavy industrial and public transport traffic.
