Rita Westwood Explores Silence and the Post-Apocalyptic at TEA Tenerife
Portuguese artist Rita Westwood presents a workshop and public installation-performance exploring themes of silence and its impact, followed by a solo performance at TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes.
TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes is hosting a workshop and performance by Portuguese artist Rita Westwood. The event, titled "#1_pós-silêncio pré-apocalíptico," runs from Wednesday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The workshop, part of the Por Asalto live arts program, explores themes of silence, being silenced, and silencing through movement, voice, soundscape creation, writing, and visual art.
The workshop's outcomes—performative, visual, and sound elements—will be showcased in an installation-performance for the public. Westwood will also give a separate performance at TEA on Saturday at 6:00 PM.
This workshop is open to cis women, trans people, and non-binary individuals. Spaces are limited and free, but registration is required via the TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes website.
