Revólver Brings 'El Dorado' Anniversary Tour to Gran Canaria Jan 2
Carlos Goñi's Revólver will bring their 'Más allá de El Dorado' tour, celebrating 30 years of their seminal album, to the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on January 2nd, 2026.
Spanish rock fans, mark your calendars for early 2026! Carlos Goñi and his band Revólver are set to perform a special concert celebrating their album 'El Dorado,' which turned 30 in 2025. This event will be held on January 2nd, 2026, at 8:00 PM, in the Symphonic Hall of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
This concert is part of the 'Más allá de El Dorado' (Beyond El Dorado) tour, which El Búho La Laguna is bringing to the Canary Islands. The tour features 11 shows across Spain, many of which sold out even before the tour started. So far, Revólver has played in Madrid, Carlos Goñi's hometown; Valencia, where the band formed in 1988; as well as San Sebastián, Oviedo, La Coruña, Murcia, and Málaga. After the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria show, the tour will head back to mainland Spain for two more concerts: Seville on January 11th and Barcelona on February 5th. The Barcelona date is already sold out, and tickets for Seville are selling fast.
This new show, lasting over two hours, will feature Carlos Goñi and his band performing every song from 'El Dorado.' They will also play other popular tracks from their career, showcasing their signature blend of rock, country, and blues.
Carlos Goñi emphasizes the significance of 'El Dorado,' which was released in 1995. Recorded in just two months between London and Marbella (December 1994 – January 1995), he states that, much like their album 'Básico' released two years earlier, 'El Dorado' was crucial. It laid the foundation for the distinctive sound that remains the band's hallmark today.
Timeless songs such as 'Tú y yo,' 'Nacidos para la gloria,' 'Si es por ti,' and 'La fortuna' are featured on both the 'El Dorado' album and the 'Más allá de El Dorado' tour. This tour, which started last September, brings these iconic tracks to Gran Canaria on January 2nd, marking an essential chapter in Spanish music history.
Tickets for the Gran Canaria concert are available for purchase on the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium website (auditorioalfredokraus.es) and Revólver's official page (gruporevolver.es).
