Repion Kicks Off EmerPOP Canarias Season This Weekend
Spanish pop-rock band Repion is headlining the opening weekend of the EmerPOP Canarias concert series, which supports emerging Canarian talent, with shows in Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
The EmerPOP Canarias concert series is starting its new season this weekend with a bang! Headlining the shows is Repion, one of Spain's most loved and powerful pop-rock bands.
The series, organized by Moon World, kicks off this Friday at 8:30 PM in Tenerife at the Aguere Espacio Cultural. Repion will be sharing the stage with local band Pokzipol Poops (PKZP). On Saturday, the tour moves to Sala Alboroto in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at 8:00 PM, where they'll play with the up-and-coming band Lasofiband. You can grab your tickets on entradas.com.
Repion is made up of sisters Teresa and Marina Iñesta. They've been playing together since they were kids, thanks to their parents giving them a place to practice. Over the years, they've become known for their amazing live shows and have become a respected band in Spain. Teresa's on drums and Marina's on guitar, and their voices blend perfectly, creating a powerful and emotional performance.
After gaining experience in other bands like Aiko el Grupo, Yawners, and Mikel Erentxun's band, Repion released their album in 2023, showcasing their full potential with songs like "Brillante," "Barrio Somavilla," and "En todo momento." Critics have called them "the Spanish Sleater-Kinney." They've worked with artists like Xoel López, Amaral, Cala Vento, and La M.O.D.A., and are currently touring the country with many sold-out shows.
EmerPOP Canarias is all about supporting new talent from the Canary Islands. It brings together local artists and well-known pop musicians from across Spain. Throughout the 2025-2026 season, the series will feature artists like Serko, Tu Otra Bonita, Tam Tam Go!, Alice Wonder, and Elefantes, offering training, exposure, and live performance opportunities.
The project is supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, the island councils of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, and the city councils of La Laguna and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
