A 27-year-old repeat offender with three active arrest warrants was apprehended by local police in Tejina, La Laguna, following a routine patrol check.
Public safety in Tenerife is back in the spotlight after the arrest of a 27-year-old man in Tejina, La Laguna. Local police officers caught the man during a routine patrol, quickly identifying him as a repeat offender with more than two dozen prior entries on his record.
The arrest was made possible by the Administrative Registry System (SIRAJ), a digital tool that allows officers to check for active legal cases in real time. The system revealed that the man, who lives in the La Cuesta area, was wanted on three separate warrants for crimes including property damage, bodily harm, threats, and the illegal disclosure of private information.
Following his arrest, the man was taken to the National Police station on Nava y Grimón Street in La Laguna. He is now being held for court, where he will face the charges against him. This case highlights the importance of close coordination between local police and the judicial system in ensuring that outstanding warrants are enforced and that individuals with pending legal matters are held accountable.
