Registration Opens for 8th Canary Islands Music Awards
Registration is now open for the eighth edition of the Canary Islands Music Awards, which will honor local talent across 15 categories during a gala ceremony this December.
The Canary Islands music scene is once again in the spotlight as registration opens for the eighth edition of the Canary Islands Music Awards. Organizers, in partnership with La Radio Canaria, are accepting entries until September 26 for any musical work released throughout 2025.
These awards aim to showcase the islands' creative talent while strengthening the local industry by recognizing not just the artists, but also the technical and management teams behind the scenes. To ensure a fair and transparent process, a jury of past winners and industry experts will evaluate all submissions via a digital platform.
There are 15 awards in total, covering genres such as pop, rock, jazz, urban, roots, and classical music. The awards also honor excellence in technical production, design, promotion, programming, and music video creation, alongside a special Honorary Award.
Participation is open to any individual or entity that meets the official requirements, which are available on the event’s website. The awards gala will take place this December—with the venue to be announced soon—serving as a key event to celebrate Canarian music and help the industry grow its professional standards and competitiveness on a national level.
