Real Club Náutico de Tenerife Opens Doors to Public Art Exhibition
The Real Club Náutico de Tenerife has launched an art exhibition featuring 36 works by its members, marking a strategic shift to integrate the private club into the city's broader cultural life through May 26.
The Real Club Náutico de Tenerife (RCNT) has opened a new art exhibition that will be on display to the public until May 26. This event represents a change for the club, shifting its focus from sports to showcasing the creative work of its own members.
The exhibition features 36 pieces created by 18 different artists, highlighting the talent within the club’s community. Beyond the art itself, the event reflects the club's goal to move beyond its role as a private social space and become a more active part of Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s cultural life. Club president Andrés Orozco noted that the facility aims to serve as a hub for the local community, bringing members and the general public together.
Exhibitions like this are part of a growing trend among long-standing private organizations in Spain that are looking to strengthen their local ties by opening their doors to the public. By turning its halls into a temporary gallery, the RCNT is not only celebrating the talents of its members but also helping to expand the city's cultural scene by providing a platform for artists who often work outside of traditional commercial galleries.
