Ramiro Rosón to Launch Science-Inspired Poetry Collection in La Laguna
Tenerife-based author Ramiro Rosón will launch his new poetry collection, Polen de estrellas, this Saturday at La Laguna’s Javier Fernández Quesada Park, featuring a unique exploration of physics, mythology, and the cosmos.
La Laguna’s vibrant literary scene is set to host a unique event this Saturday that blends poetry with science. According to La Poeteca de Canarias, the kiosk in Javier Fernández Quesada Park (formerly known as Los Dragos Park) will host the 7:00 p.m. launch of Polen de estrellas (Pollen of Stars), the latest book by Tenerife-based author Ramiro Rosón.
Published by the Asturian imprint BajAmar, the collection invites readers to look beyond the human experience and into the vastness of space. Through a journey that moves from Earth to the far reaches of the galaxy, Rosón combines the precision of physics with mythology and spiritual reflection. The poems are linked by the perspective of an astronaut, whose journey prompts questions about mortality, memory, and our desire to reach the unattainable.
This event highlights the importance of using public spaces to bring culture to the community. Philologist and cultural manager Covadonga García Fierro will lead the presentation, helping the audience navigate the book’s complex themes. By exploring everything from biological origins to distant planetary systems, the collection aims to bridge the gap between our observation of the cosmos and the inner life of the individual.
