On Saturday, October 4th, the CajaCanarias Foundation concludes its "Ars Organorum" cycle, marking the ninth year that the historical organ has resonated in the Canary Islands. This project is carried out in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Miguel Arcángel and the Diocese of Nivariense. The main goal is to preserve and showcase these unique musical instruments and their significance to the islands' culture.
You are invited to a concert by organist Raúl del Toro. It will take place at the Church of Our Lady of the Conception in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The concert starts at 8:00 PM, admission is free, but seating is limited. This concert is part of the festive events celebrating the arrival of the Virgin of Candelaria to the capital of Tenerife. More information can be found on the website www.cajacanarias.com.
The coordinator of the "Ars Organorum" cycle is Dr. Rosario Álvarez Martínez, head of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Her persistent work helps to promote valuable historical organs, contributing to their restoration and preservation.
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the breath of history that lives in every organ, in every element of it. These instruments are witnesses to the life of the islands.
