Quirónsalud hospitals in Tenerife will take care of the health of athletes and spectators at the Socorro Classic competitions. This is a cool bodyboarding sporting event that will take place from September 24 to 28 on Los Realejos beach. The best athletes from all over the world and Spain will gather there.
Dr. Juan Carlos Gómez from Quirónsalud Costa Adeje Hospital says that bodyboarding most often results in bruises, cuts (when you hit the board or the bottom), sprains of the ankles and knees, and also back and shoulder pain from awkward positions and constant hand movements. To avoid injuries, Dr. Gómez advises warming up well, doing everything correctly, and doing exercises to strengthen muscles.
Socorro Classic is an official competition that is part of the European Tour of Bodyboard and Circuito Canario de Bodyboard. It is supported by the European Surfing Federation and the Federación Española de Surfing.
