Puerto de la Cruz to Host 80s-Themed Night at Titos Beach This Saturday
Titos Beach in Puerto de la Cruz will host a free 80s-themed night this Saturday at 8:00 p.m., featuring live performances by Hydra 2.0 and DJ sets by Luis de León.
Nostalgia for late 20th-century pop culture remains a major draw for nightlife in the Canary Islands. As part of the upcoming cultural agenda in Puerto de la Cruz, Titos Beach, located at 65 Camino El Durazno, is hosting an 80s-themed night this Saturday.
These events have become increasingly popular across the islands, tapping into a trend that uses live music and curated DJ sets to celebrate collective memories. This Saturday, the local cover band Hydra 2.0 will perform a wide range of hits, spanning Spanish pop-rock favorites like Joaquín Sabina, Café Quijano, and M Clan, alongside international icons such as Madonna, R.E.M., and Bob Marley.
The evening will also feature DJ Luis de León, known for his work with the "Puretas Party," who will be in charge of the music throughout the night. Entry is free, and the event begins at 8:00 p.m. By featuring anthems from artists like Michael Jackson and Duran Duran, the event aims to bring together an intergenerational crowd for a night of non-stop dancing.
