Puerto de la Cruz communicator Pedro Rodríguez's video podcast "En Casa," which showcases pursuing life projects despite illness, has been nominated for a Clickers Award 2025 in the "Best Canarian Podcast" category.

Pedro Rodríguez, a communicator from Puerto de la Cruz, is thrilled that his video podcast, "En Casa," has been nominated for a Clickers Award 2025. He shared on social media that the nomination is a great motivation to continue his work, which has always been driven by joy, hard work, and honesty.

"En Casa" is nominated for "Best Canarian Podcast" at the Clickers Awards, organized by the Click and Roll program of LOS40 Canarias.

The awards ceremony, supported by the Canarian Institute for Cultural Development (ICDC) and the Cabildo of Tenerife, with help from the regional government's Directorate General for Youth, will be held on December 3rd at 7:00 PM at the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Rodríguez started "En Casa" to pursue his lifelong passion for communication, a field he worked in on radio and television for over 30 years. His career was put on hold for nearly three years due to illness before he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

The podcast features in-depth interviews with notable figures, mostly from the Canary Islands. The goal is to show that it's possible to pursue life projects even when facing illness. In its first season, "En Casa" hosted guests like choreographer Rafa Méndez, actress Toni Acosta, comedian Petite Lorena, singer Nalaya Brown, journalist Estíbaliz Pérez, communicators Yaiza Díaz and Kiko Barroso, and photographer Alfonso Bravo.

You can watch "En Casa" on Atlántico Televisión, the Canary Islands' first regional channel, which is part of GRUPO PLATÓ DEL ATLÁNTICO, the publisher of this newspaper. The podcast is also available on YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

For its second season, "En Casa" has moved to a new location: the Gran Hotel Taoro. This historic hotel in Puerto de la Cruz, built in 1890 and closed in 1975, has recently reopened after a major renovation. The hotel is supporting island talent and projects that encourage thought, conversation, and cultural sharing in an accessible, inspiring, and high-quality way, making "En Casa" a perfect fit for their initiative.
