Puerto de la Cruz is hosting its busiest day of the Mueca International Street Art Festival, featuring 28 diverse performances across the city to celebrate culture and community through Sunday.

Puerto de la Cruz is hosting its busiest day yet for the Mueca International Street Art Festival. Today’s schedule features 28 performances across 14 locations, showcasing how the event uses public spaces to bring the community together and revitalize the city. The festival, which concludes this Sunday, has become a cornerstone of culture in northern Tenerife.

Today’s program is incredibly diverse, ranging from experimental sound art to modern circus performances. Highlights include Chipi La Canalla at Plaza Concejil, who blends humor with traditional festival themes, alongside performances by Zanguango Teatro, Show de Tadeo, Katastrofa Clown, and Compagnie Krak.

Local talent is also front and center. The Canary Islands School of Actors is leading the parades, while the La Ranilla Music Universe will host performances by Alizulh, TAL!!!, and the Vässil Ohn Quartet. Meanwhile, the Playa San Telmo area is focusing on inclusion, hosting sign language workshops by DanSign and dance pieces by artists including Abián Hernández, Mariana Torres Herrera, Daniel Abreu, and Judit Mendoza.

The festival’s international lineup is equally impressive. Australia’s Circa is performing at the Muelle, while French artists Yoann Bourgeois and Los Putos Makinas bring their unique take on balance and physical comedy. The program is rounded out by Finnish acrobats Kate & Pasi and visual artist Federico Menini.

By incorporating sections like "Urban Mueca" and "The Other Life of Things," the festival turns the city’s historic architecture into an immersive stage. Attendees can find full schedules and location details on the official festival website to help navigate the complex, city-wide event.
