Puerto de la Cruz City Council has temporarily closed Castillo, Charcón, and Playa Chica beaches for November 5th and 6th due to anticipated strong waves and dangerous sea conditions, prioritizing public safety.

The Puerto de la Cruz City Council has temporarily closed Castillo, Charcón, and Playa Chica beaches. This is due to strong waves and bad sea conditions expected for this Wednesday, November 5th, and Thursday, November 6th.

The decision was made for safety, following advice from emergency services and weather forecasts. These forecasts warn of dangerous conditions along the coast in northern Tenerife. For these two days, swimming and going into the water will not be allowed at these beaches in Puerto de la Cruz.

The City Council reminds everyone, both locals and visitors, to obey the signs. They also ask people to avoid standing in places where waves might crash over, especially on walls, breakwaters, or promenades close to the sea. Extra caution is also needed for activities like fishing or taking photos in dangerous spots.

The City Council will keep an eye on the situation. They will let people know when the beaches can reopen, once the sea conditions improve.
