Ópera de Tenerife Launches Island-Wide Classical Concert Series
Ópera de Tenerife is expanding its reach across the island with a three-concert tour featuring tenor José Bros and pianist Mario Álvarez performing a diverse program of operatic and zarzuela classics.
Ópera de Tenerife is bringing classical music to more communities across the island with a new series of performances. Tenor José Bros and pianist Mario Álvarez will lead three concerts designed to take lyrical music beyond the capital’s usual venues.
The performances will feature a simple, intimate chamber format, focusing on the connection between voice and piano. The program offers a diverse mix of music, ranging from Italian verismo to traditional Spanish zarzuela. Highlights include selections from Puccini’s Manon Lescaut and Verdi’s Il Corsario, alongside classic pieces from Vives’ Doña Francisquita and Moreno Torroba’s Luisa Fernanda.
The tour schedule is as follows:
- Thursday, April 16, 8:30 p.m.: Teatro Cine Realejos
- Saturday, April 18, 8:00 p.m.: Auditorio de Adeje
- Sunday, April 19, 7:30 p.m.: Chamber Hall, Auditorio de Tenerife (Santa Cruz)
This initiative is part of a broader effort to make high-quality performances more accessible to audiences throughout the island. For ticket information and further details on the program, please visit www.auditoriodetenerife.com.
