Paraglider Moderately Injured in Tenerife Ravine Crash
A 36-year-old paraglider sustained moderate injuries on Sunday after an accident in the Taucho ravine, Adeje, Tenerife, and was rescued by helicopter before being transferred to Hospital del Norte.
A 36-year-old paraglider was moderately injured after an accident in the Taucho ravine, Adeje, Tenerife, according to the 112 Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordinating Center.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon. An Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) helicopter was sent to the area, working with Tenerife Firefighters and local police. After rescuing the injured person, they took her to the La Guancha helipad.
Once at La Guancha, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) confirmed she had moderate injuries. She was then transferred to Hospital del Norte.
