The Argentinian guitar duo Palma Sandoval, winner of international awards, will give a series of concerts in Tenerife, combining tango, folklore, and their own compositions.
The Argentinian guitar duo Palma Sandoval, who were remembered last year for their performance at the Sabandeño festival in La Laguna, will perform a concert this Sunday (at 8:00 PM) in the town of Las Galletas, in the south of the island of Arona.
Nicolás Palma and Ezequiel Sandoval came to Tenerife on tour, so in addition to this concert, they have two more performances to look forward to: on Wednesday (at 6:30 PM) in El Rosario, where they will also hold a master class, and on Friday (at 8:00 PM) at the Leal Theater in La Laguna. At the last concert, which will take place in the theater's chamber hall, they will be joined by famous musicians Besay Pérez, Horacio Díaz, and Hela.
These guys have been making music for 10 years and are considered one of the brightest representatives of the new wave of Argentinian guitarists. This year they embarked on a major tour that covered not only the Canary Islands, but also Spanish cities such as Madrid and Castilla-La Mancha.
Their music intertwines tango, Argentinian and Latin American folklore, classics, and their own compositions. They have already been heard on many famous stages and festivals. And on January 28 next year, they plan to perform at the National Folklore Festival in Cosquín, Argentina.
By the way, in May of this year, Palma Sandoval won the first prize at the international competition in Italy (Città di Crotone) in the chamber music category (guitar duo). This once again confirms their talent and great potential.
In 2018, they recorded their first album "Cosmovisión" (released in 2023), and recently released the single "Trilogía Ciudadana" (2024). In their music, they combine Argentinian traditions with a modern sound. In addition to the duo, Nicolás Palma and Ezequiel Sandoval also perform as part of a quintet, sextet, and septet.
During their career, Palma Sandoval have shared the stage with many famous artists, such as Los Sabandeños, Popi Spatocco, Verónica Cangemi, Pocho Sosa, Luis Salinas, Peteco Carabajal, Soledad Pastorutti, Nahuel Penisi, Jairo, Baglieto, the Mendoza Philharmonic Orchestra, Horacio Díaz, and the Tenerife tenor Jorge de León, with whom they have performed several times in Spain.
