The Mar Abierto Festival has added Pablo López to its 20th-anniversary lineup, featuring a series of concerts across the Canary Islands this autumn.

The Mar Abierto Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary by adding Pablo López to its star-studded lineup. The Malaga-born musician will bring his El Niño del Espacio tour to the Canary Islands at the end of October, with performances on the 30th at the Palacio de Formación y Congresos in Fuerteventura and on the 31st at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

This announcement is part of an ambitious autumn schedule that builds on the festival’s successful spring season. To mark two decades of history, organizers have planned 20 performances featuring 11 artists across various genres. Alongside Pablo López, singer Pasión Vega is set to perform on October 11 at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna. They join an impressive roster of previously announced acts, including Bebe, José Mercé, Ainhoa Arteta, and Luz Casal.

The festival remains a cornerstone of the Canary Islands' cultural scene, and the celebrations will continue through the end of the year. Following the October shows, Víctor Manuel will take the stage on November 7 and 8 in La Laguna and Las Palmas. Sole Giménez follows with concerts on November 21 and 22 in Gran Canaria and Tenerife, while Marta Sánchez will wrap up the anniversary cycle on December 7 in Gran Canaria.

Tickets for all upcoming shows, including those featuring summer performer Sílvia Pérez Cruz, are available through the festival’s official website. By rotating venues across the islands, the festival has successfully brought high-quality live music to a wider audience, maintaining its reputation as a leading cultural event for two decades despite a highly competitive market.
