An off-duty Civil Guard officer from Icod de los Vinos, who was with his family at a local shopping center, caught a man stealing nine expensive perfumes, worth about 700 euros, from a store.
The man's behavior caught the officer's attention while he was enjoying his time off, which made him watch closely. The officer soon suspected the man was planning to steal from nearby stores. He confirmed his suspicions when he saw the man stealing perfumes. He immediately stepped in, identified himself as an officer, and called for a police patrol to help with the arrest.
The perfumes were recovered. The arrested man was taken to the Icod de los Vinos Civil Guard station to complete the paperwork and will later appear in court.
