Odeon Multicines Opens New Premium Cinema Complex in South Tenerife

Entertainment in the south of Tenerife is getting a major upgrade with the opening of the new Odeon Multicines at the La Gran Manzana shopping center in Las Chafiras (San Miguel de Abona) this Thursday, July 23. The cinema chain’s arrival is a strategic move to tap into the area’s growing population and commercial activity, adding to an 18,000-square-meter complex that already features a variety of dining and retail options.

Odeon brings its "Odeon Experience" model to the island, focusing on comfort and high-end technology. The six new screens are equipped with electric reclining seats, USB charging ports, and built-in trays. To ensure a premium viewing experience, the theaters feature 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound systems, which use overhead speakers to create a fully immersive audio environment.

Local officials see the project as a significant boost for the regional economy. San Miguel de Abona Mayor Arturo González highlighted the cinema as a key attraction for residents of neighboring towns and a source of new local jobs. The chain will also introduce a range of dining options, including traditional cinema snacks, tailored to the local market.
